JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — UPDATE: Charges against Alicia Kline have been dropped after restitution was paid.

In this year’s first quarter, 178 people were charged for welfare fraud, according to the office of the State Inspector General.
According to a release, $886,055.54 is owed to the state in these cases and the individuals charged will be temporarily disqualified from receiving public benefits in the programs they’re accused of defrauding.

HOUSTON (TND) — A man accused in the slaying of a Texas lawyer who reportedly intervened in a dispute over a McDonald's order is in police custody.
Anthony Martin Landry was arrested, according to Houston police. Landry was wanted for the murder of Jeffrey Wayne Limmer. Limmer was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds inside the McDonald's at 8147 Katy Freeway on May 4. The 46-year-old victim was allegedly shot after a verbal disagreement with Landry.

In the fall, Mount Aloysius will become just one of seventeen colleges with a rifle team, and they will compete against Division One schools like Ohio State and West Virginia.

JOHNSTOWN — Alex Smalley put his name among impressive company.
Smalley won the 66th Sunnehanna Amateur, firing a score 10 shots under par. This is the second consecutive Sunnehanna Amateur tournament title for Smalley. He becomes the first player to accomplish that feat since PGA Tour golfer Rickie Fowler did it back in 2007-08.
The tournament's final round started with a two-way tie for first place between Smalley and Spencer Soosman.
