Police investigating overnight vehicle break-ins in Ferndale Borough

CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Likely more than a dozen cars were broken into Wednesday night in Ferndale Borough, according to police. The borough's police chief Adam Richards says they are still taking calls from people saying valuables, including money, wallets and phone chargers were reportedly taken out of the cars. Smoke detectors sold on Amazon recalled, manufacturer not cooperating

According to the organization, the recall affects smoke and carbon monoxide detectors sold by CHZHVAN brand with the following model number: The detectors are made of white plastic and measure about four inches in diameter. Two dead, two injured following head-on crash in Somerset Co.

Somerset Twp. (WJAC) — Pennsylvania State Police say an unidentified 17-year-old and his 20-year-old passenger died in a head-on crash on S. Edgewood Ave. in Somerset Township early Saturday morning. Officials say the crash happened just after midnight. Troopers say Braxton Judy, 21, of Somerset was driving southbound on S. Edgewood Ave., just south of S. Center Ave., in a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado, when he failed to negotiate a right curve at a high rate of speed, crossed into the opposite lane of travel, and struck a 2012 Chevrolet Sonic, driven by the teen, head-on. 17 dogs covered in feces, rescued from deplorable home in Enola

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — The Human Society of Harrisburg (HSHA) is currently caring for over a dozen dogs that were rescued from a dangerous situation. According to HSHA, 17 "small dogs and puppies" were found back in November by HSHA's Humane Law Officer. The home they were living in was revealed to have been a house in Enola.
