TYRONE TOWNSHIP, Pa.-- A mixed martial arts fighter accused of assaulting a woman. State police said the man tried to run the woman off the road Sunday.
"He was apparently tailgating her and eventually passed her and forced her to stop her vehicle," said Trooper David McGarvey, State Police Hollidaysburg.
Police said Brett Shoenfelt was behind the wheel. They said he is a local amateur mixed martial arts fighter. Police said he knew the victim but it remains unclear why he allegedly attacked her.

WILDWOOD, Fla. (TND) — A man accused of visiting four bank branches and cashing forged checks had quite a story for deputies in the months before his eventual arrest.
First, Franklin Bobby Hogans went to a bank in Florida on Jan. 5 and “presented the bank teller with the check made out to himself in the amount of $2,200 by [a construction company],” according to a detective’s affidavit for an arrest warrant.

WASHINGTON (7News) — The D.C. Council got a detailed update this past week on which speed cameras in the city are taking the most pictures.
The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) said the busiest speed camera in the entire city is located along the northbound Potomac Freeway at 25th Street in Northwest. It also happens to be one of the newest ones. From Oct. 1 through New Year’s Eve of last year, this camera issued 33,682 tickets.

ALTOONA, Pa. (WJAC) — Police looking for a man involved in an attempted murder investigation.
According to Altoona police, shots were fired Tuesday night near the 1100 block of 4th Avenue. Police say shots rang out just after 8:30 p.m. when the suspect, 19-year-old Jahlil Williams, and the victim got into an argument over money owed from a previous a drug deal. Police say during the altercation, Williams pulled out a 9mm pistol and fired five rounds toward the victim as he fled to his car.
