PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Penguins agreed to terms with defenseman Marcus Pettersson on a five-year contract extension, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.
The deal will kick in at the beginning of the 2020-21 season and run through the 2024-25 campaign, carrying an average annual value of $4,025,175.

Police trying to figure out from where nearly $40K in cash found in Ohio restrooms came
MARYSVILLE, Ohio (WSYX) — A money mystery in Marysville has police trying to figure out from where nearly $40,000 came.
More than $25,000 was found in the restroom at the Avalon Theatre on April 27, and then, Thursday night, more than $12,000 was found in the restroom at a KFC restaurant.

Woman found dead in basement; man killed by officers
SOUTH CONNELLSVILLE, Pa. (AP) — State police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man by western Pennsylvania borough police officers that authorities said followed the discovery of a woman's body. Officers went to a South Connellsville home shortly after 4:30 p.m. Tuesday to check on the welfare of a 45-year-old woman. Police said a 33-year-old man let them in and they found the woman dead in the basement, but a struggle ensued when they tried to arrest the man and he fired a shot at them.

3 killed, 49 injured in Pennsylvania charter bus crash
DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — At least three people are dead after a charter bus crash in Pennsylvania Sunday night. According to Pennsylvania State Police (PSP), the incident happened around 11:49 p.m. on I-81 in Dauphin County. PSP reported a 2005 Van Hool tour bus was traveling from New York during a heavy downpour when the crash happened.
While traveling, officials said the bus attempted to wind around a right curve when it noticed a 2016 Honda CRV stopped in southbound traffic.

Somerset Co. distillery unveils new Moonshine to honor local fire department
SALISBURY, Pa (WJAC) — Tall Pines Distillery in Salisbury unveiled its new "Five Alarm" moonshine on Sunday afternoon, which honors the local Salisbury fire department.
The distillery presented a special bottle of the moonshine to the fire department which pictured the department helmet on it.
Bottles of the moonshine will be on sale soon, and $2 of every bottle sold will be donated to the fire department.

St. Francis employee cycles nearly 400 miles for annual Dorothy Day fundraiser
