(AP) — Ricky Stenhouse Jr. threw a right hook at Kyle Busch, and suddenly, an otherwise boring All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway had NASCAR fans buzzing heading into next weekend's marquee Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte. Busch had wrecked Stenhouse on the second lap of the $1 million race Sunday night in a move that looked like retaliation for how Stenhouse had raced him earlier. Stenhouse drove his damaged Chevrolet to Busch's pit stall and parked it, and with no way to get out of the track while the race was going on, stewed in street clothes for hours until Busch arrived at his hauler. Deputies arrested a Chattanooga man for misusing 911. 48 hours later, he was brain dead.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Deputies arrested a Chattanooga man for repeatedly calling and texting 911. An arrest report says at the time, "deputies did not observe any injuries or any emergency going on with him." But no more than two days after his arrest, 23-year-old Christopher Ayala landed in intensive care. His family says doctors told them Ayala is now considered brain dead. Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores to begin in-store public access in Yellow Phase counties

Tragedy at Bedford County Fair 40 years ago sparked changes in ride safety

Woman accused of throwing dog off second-story deck multiple times faces more charges

LEHMAN TOWNSHIP, PIKE CO. (WOLF) — A woman accused of throwing a small dog off a second-story deck multiple times is facing more charges. Pennsylvania State Police say Betty Ann Davis, 49, of Bushkill, was first caught on surveillance footage twice throwing a 9-pound Pomsky off a second-story deck. Davis initially said that the dog had broken its leg by "getting caught in the crate." However, it was found that the dog's injury—a broken leg with the bone protruding from the skin—was not consistent with how Davis alleged it occurred. [Read More]

Authorities ID victim, suspect in early morning Oakhurst shooting

Feds arrest man accused of fatally striking PSU student with car; bail hearing set

CENTRE COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Officials say the driver involved in a deadly crash in State College last year is now in federal custody. Authorities say he was out of jail, on bail, while awaiting trial until just a few days ago.
