BELLEFONTE, Pa. (WJAC) -- A former Centre County judge has found himself on the other side of the law, again.
Former President Judge Thomas Kistler was charged with DUI last fall and placed in a special probation program known as ARD. It's a program used for first-time offenders. But now, Kistler is accused of violating the terms of his probation by recently consuming alcohol.
According to court documents filed Tuesday, the Centre County district attorney's office is requesting that Kistler’s ARD probation be revoked.

Johnstown Airport Officials said the last two months have been the best two months they've had in the last 20 years.

SASKATOON, Canada (WKRC) — A McDonald's regular said he got a $580 ticket for opening the fast-food chain's app in the drive-thru.
McDonald's customer Mason Prima spoke to Canada-based CTV News on Tuesday after he was allegedly handed a $580 ticket for pulling up the McDonald's app in the drive-thru. Per the outlet, Prima had hoped to use his points to score a free meal.
“I’m barely even moving. I pull up my app and look at the rear-view mirror and there’s a motorcycle cop behind me,” Prima told CTV News.

2 employees, first responders felt ill after incident at SCI Rockview
BELLEFONTE, Pa. — Employees and first responders reported feeling ill at SCI Rockview Tuesday in an incident that is the latest in a string of similar reports this month. Since the beginning of August, at least 25 prison employees have reported feeling ill after coming into contact with "unknown substances" at state prisons located mostly in the western half of the state.
The Department of Corrections also announced Tuesday that officials said security staff at nearby SCI Benner Township discovered drugs located in the non-contact visiting booth at the facility Monday.

There have been reports nationwide of a surge in cases this winter that are highly contagious. Experts are urging pet owners to vaccinate their dogs and practice avoidance.

Parents charged with child neglect after 8-year-old jumps from window in search of food
CALHOUN COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS) — Two parents have been charged after a young child jumped out of a window and showed up at a nearby business claiming she hadn’t eaten in days, court records said.
Ryan Keith Hardman and Ellio Magthalena Hardman, both 33, of Arnoldsburg, West Virginia, are charged with child neglect with risk of serious bodily injury or death and conspiracy, according to criminal complaints filed in Calhoun County Magistrate Court.

Wolf announces retention of 438 jobs, upgrades to Domtar Corp. in Elk, Clearfield counties
HARRISBURG – Gov. Tom Wolf announced Wednesday the retention of 438 jobs over the next three years and major upgrades to the Domtar Corporation in Elk and Clearfield counties.
Domtar Corporation is a company dedicated to the design, manufacture, marketing and distribution of pulp, paper and personal care products.
Wolf said significant infrastructure and equipment upgrades will be made at its facilities in Johnsonburg, Elk County and DuBois, Clearfield County.

Child, 8, killed in two-vehicle crash in Indiana County, PSP says
INDIANA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Pennsylvania state police say an 8-year-old child was killed Sunday in a two-vehicle crash in Indiana County.
Troopers say the crash occurred just before 5 p.m. near the intersection of West Philadelphia Street Extension and Route 22 in East Wheatfield Township.
Police say the driver of a Chevrolet SUV, identified as a 62-year-old Armagh woman, was reportedly stopped at a posted stop sign at the intersection and was attempting to turn onto Route 22 westbound.
