LANCASTER COUNTY — 13 people are facing charges following violent protests Sunday night in Lancaster City, police say. Convicted murderer continues to appeal evidence in decades old case in Centre County

Centre Co., PA (WJAC) — A Centre County murder case that is more than 30 years old is still under appeal in federal court. The defendant claims he was wrongly convicted, partially due to the role of the FBI reviewing the evidence. It was along a roadway near Bellefonte where the body of a teenage runaway from Maine, 17-year-old Dawn Marie Birnbaum, was found in March of 1993. Whitewater park at Greenhouse closed while engineers work 'to reduce risk'

CONEMAUGH TOWNSHIP, Pa. — The water rapids area of Greenhouse Park in Somerset County is closed until at least next Tuesday as engineers decide how to make a section of the man-made whitewater feature safer. The artificial whitewater rapids in the Stonycreek River were a part of the non-natural whitewater park in Pennsylvania that was designed for boaters and tubers coming down the river. Altoona church confirms 'some' positive cases; moves to remote services

Centred Outdoors kicks off season with annual 'Family Fishing Picnic'

Centred Outdoors' eighth season started with the annual 'Family Fishing Picnic' in Centre County on Sunday. Dentist acquitted in rape case named in civil lawsuit

BELLEFONTE, Pa. (WJAC) — A dentist from Bellefonte who was acquitted of rape and kidnapping charges in July was named in a civil lawsuit by his alleged victim, according to Centre County court officials. Wade Newman, former owner of Bellefonte Family Dentistry, was charged in March 2017 when the woman said Newman drove her home after a procedure then forced himself on her. The attack is alleged to have happened in October 2016, according to the Center County District Attorney's Office. [Read More]
